Forum Sharing travel tips, read
reviews from real travellers in Laos South Lao guide
recommendation?
The best "off the tourist track" experiences often come from having
a quality guide/translator. We have been extra-fortunate with treks
out of Muang Long, Muang Khua, and in Lao Cai Province in Vietnam to
have had guides that became, in a way, part of our family's lore (we
have two teen boys). Attentive but authentic, decent enough with
English skills and familiar enough with local ways to describe
customs, lore, fruits and bugs (and translate some), helps get us
involved in activities with locals, makes sure there is food enough,
makes sure that the village is compensated appropriately, etc.
We are in Sekong, Salavan, and Bolevan Plateau area in a few short
weeks. Does any person have a personal recommendation for a quality
guide in this area?
Feel free to pm if it seems more appropriate.
Thanks, ya'll. .

The Pakse Hotel had a little tour agency and the knowledgeable lady
there could probably hook you up with someone.
