The popular Mano looks like a small shopfront from the street, but venture inside and there are 14 well-appointed rooms stretching the length of the building. The smart rooms here wouldn't look out of place in a cheaper hotel and are very good value.

In contrast with the exterior, the interior of the rooms features extensive wood trim, so much so you might be left wondering how many trees were cut down to kit it out. Most of the rooms come with air-con, but there are some fan rooms available for those on a budget. The large air-con rooms really are a steal and include elaborate beds as well as bright, modern bathrooms with hot water showers. Downstairs is a lively little cafe where light meals and drinks are available and there are always at least a couple of travellers sitting around enjoying the views of life on the street. Internet access is available nearby and the Lao Airlines office is just down the road, making this a pretty strategic address for the discerning traveller.
