- Sala Prabang Hotel Sala Prabang
Hotel
Housed in an imposing riverfront house
that has been impeccably restored, the Sala Prabang has two newer
wings built in complimentary style. The tones are earthy, the stone
almost Cotswold, and it's a charming place to stay.
The location is spot on, overlooking the Mekong river and just a
short stroll from the heart of the action on Th Sakkarin. The rooms
come with both fan and air-con, which is quite a rarity in Laos.
This allows you to switch off the air-con and cool yourself with the
fan if that's your preference. Facilities include a hot water
bathtub in most rooms, a hairdryer, IDD phone and unlimited tea and
coffee. No TV though. Upstairs rooms include a king-size bed for
couples and the Mekong views up here are some of the best in town.
Rates include breakfast and taxes and the staff are very friendly
and efficient.

Restaurant Brasserie L'Elephant has long been considered one of the
finest dining establishments in Luang Prabang and is just a short

and Luang Prabang specialities.
